Gloria June Morrison, was an only child, born in Spokane, Washington, to Roscoe Vivian Morrison and Margaret Hetrick Morrison. Her father worked on the ferries and construction projects throughout the west coast. They moved often throughout her young school years. Following High School, Gloria took a position at Pacific Bell and Telegraph as a telephone operator in San Bernardino, California, a company she would work for 34 years before retiring. Gloria June Morrison, was an only child, born in Spokane, Washington, to Roscoe Vivian Morrison and Margaret Hetrick Morrison. Her father worked on the ferries and construction projects throughout the west coast. They moved often throughout her young school years. Following High School, Gloria took a position at Pacific Bell and Telegraph as a telephone operator in San Bernardino, California, a company she would work for 34 years before retiring. Following World War II, she married Bill (William) Carl Glassco of Beaumont, California, in Las Vegas in 1948. They made their home in Colton where they enjoyed over 62 years of marriage.
Gloria and Bill had two children, Kathleen Ivy Glassco Catton, and Bradley Wayne Glassco. Gloria was active in PTA, a Cub Scout Leader and Girl Scout Leader. Bill and Gloria enjoyed camping with their children and grandchildren. Bill and Gloria In retirement spent months every year in there motorhome traveling the United States and Canada.
Gloria enjoyed hobbies including sewing, needlepoint and toll painting. She belonged to the Embroidery Guild of America. Gloria loved her garden spending hours keeping it performing at perfection. She loved a series of "kitties" even if they resided with the neighbors.
She is survived by her children, four grandchildren, Kimberly Catton, Allison Catton, Alicia Glassco Appel, Elizabeth Glassco Laver and five great-grandchildren, Dean Bradley, Cora Glassco, William Glassco, Vivienne Bradley and Veronica Appel. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Glassco in 2011 and grandson Brian William Glassco in 2014.
